Officially inducted in a virtual ceremony last April 10, 2021 through Zoom, the UST Alumni Association, Inc. (USTAAI) welcomed its new set of officers. The election was held during the organization's annual General Assembly last March 13. 

Mr. Henry S. Tenedero, the USTAAI Board of Trustees Chairman, opened the event with an empowering message. "They say that the highest form of living is in giving, and the heart of leadership is leading with a heart and mind," said Tenedero. He said proudly that everyone in the Zoom meeting room has been leading with heart and mind during this pandemic. Not only tasks and responsibilities have been fulfilled, but also everyone has made a difference in people's lives. 

Present also in the online event was the main inductee officer - Asst. Prof. Fredeswindo R. Medina, the Director of the UST Office of Alumni Relations. Three years ago, upon his appointment, he was able to work with the association in organizing meaningful activities for the alumni community.

"USTAAI helped OAR a lot. They treated us as family. They have demonstrated leadership with passion," recounted Asst. Prof. Medina in his speech. "I pray that God will give you physical and emotional strength to continue serving your purpose," he added as he looks forward to future collaborations with USTAAI in connecting more alumni to the university.

Among the Board of Trustees, Dr. Evelyn A. Songco was elected as the President and Ms. Inocencia Ida S. Tionko, RN, MHPed as her vice president for the year 2021 to 2023. 

Dr. Songco declared her confidence for her officers in accomplishing the group's goals as they continue to do four things. 

"Dreaming. Weaving. Believing. Inspiring," said Dr. Songco. She hoped that the people behind USTAAI will continue dreaming together, weaving the organization's story, believing and inspiring one another so they could set and execute plans based on realities. 

Dr. Songco ended the program on a hopeful note by encouraging her officers to join the community singing of Diana Ross' inspirational hit, If We Hold On Together.
