The UST Office of Alumni Relations held a cancer awareness concert last May 27, 2017 at the UST Grandstand and Parade Grounds.
Some of the biggest artists in the industry graced the event the concert entitled “Stop the Hate. Start to Love: a Thomasian Alumni Concert for a CAUSE,” which aims to encourage the Thomasian alumni to come back to the University; to launch the “CAUSE” advocacy which will help in the treatment and rehabilitation of cancer; to initiate cancer and health awareness among Thomasians, with UST being a premier medical institution; to strengthen student and alumni philanthropic engagement, and to celebrate the gift of life and love as Thomasians.
The invited guest artists include Andrea Torres, Benjamin Alves, Bugoy Drilon, Enchong Dee, Inigo Pascual, Jaya, Jay-R, Jed Madela, Thomasian alumus John Lapus, Karylle, Kris Lawrence, Rochelle Pangilinan, Gloc 9, Sam Milby, among others.
The UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe and UST Singers also performed during the event.
Proceeds of the concert will be given in support of Thomasian cancer patients.
