The UST Office of Alumni Relations (OAR) and UST Alumni Association, Inc. (USTAAI) hosted a Christmas Party for the Thomasian athletes last December 10, 2016 at the Quadricentennial Pavilion Plenary Hall.
Student athletes who are part of the University’s Team A participated in the celebration, which was meant to recognize the efforts of the Thomasian athletes and encourage them more to excel in their respective sports.
As part of the program, the athletes who won in their respective sporting events for this UAAP season were recognized, and were given certificates and cash incentives, sponsored by the UST OAR.
Champions received a cash incentive of P5,000; first runners-up received P2,500; while second runners-up received P1,000. Those who won their games in a streak were given additional P5,000.
The UST OAR and USTAAI saw the need to give back to the Thomasian athletes who continue give glory and pride to the University, especially in the season of giving.
Present in the event were UST OAR Director Asst. Prof. Maria Cherry Tanodra, USTAAI Chairman Dr. Robert Sy and USTAAI President Engr. Frederick Parayno, among others.
