The Office of Alumni Relations would like to send its warmest congratulations to the University of Santo Tomas Drumline for winning in the International Jember Open Marching Competition (JOMC) 2016 held in East Java, Indonesia from September 23 to 25.
Thomasian Mark Raquiza won first runner-up in the Marimba Solo Competition, Gabriel Zagala finished second runner-up in the Tenor Solo Competition, while the UST Drumline bagged second runner-up in the Street Parade (Percussion) Competition.
JOMC is an annual international marching band competition organized by Duta Mitra Musik. It is participated by several marching bands from different countries in Asia, including the Philippines, Indonesia, South Africa, Malaysia, Japan and Thailand.
The UST Drumline is the official drumline team of the University which is composed of some of the members of the UST Yellow Jackets and the UST Percussion Department.
