This year’s Golden Jubilarians Class of 1966 headed by its homecoming chair Ms. Vida H. Reyes, made another ‘first’ in the history of Commerce Homecomings.
Ms. Reyes, together with her batch mates, had their “Balik USTe” Campus Tour last February 3, 2016 where they were warmly welcomed by the UST Public Affairs Office (PAO) at the famed Arch of the Centuries located beside Espana Blvd.
The reminiscing batch’s first stop-over was the UST Plaza Mayor where they struck quirky poses with the humongous UST sign followed by another picture session at the entrance of the Main Building. Afterwards, the group made their way to the UST Museum where they marveled at the rare collection of artifacts carefully preserved by the university. And lastly, a photo with the batch’s old Commerce Building at the background and facing the Quadricentennial Park.
After the Campus Tour, albeit a bit tired from the touring exercise, the Class of 1966 made a short visit to the Office for Alumni Relations where they were warmly welcomed by Director Fides Carlos and Assistant Director Cherry Tanodra. They were presented with humble snacks and drinks to refresh themselves with before the class retired for the day, anticipating their next UST visit.
